Jena, Germany, November 19, 2019 – The Boie GmbH went online with their new shop boie.de. From now on the company bundles the sales for its customers from mechanical engineering, metalworking and maintenance there. The family business, which began more than 150 years ago as a plumber and installation company, is today one of the most important companies in the technical wholesale business in Germany.
As such, it successfully uses the digital commerce. The existing shop no longer offered sufficient possibilities to meet the individual requirements of the customers. A more modern sales concept was developed for requirements in the areas of rolling bearings, drive technology, automation, tools and industrial supplies. Using the experience gained, the offering was lifted to a new level with the help of the Intershop-based enterprise solution.

In the login area, customers find simple order tracking and history, a faster order process and direct access to stored products in the shopping cart.
