Alkor with new Customer Portal on Intershop

Jena, 10 November, 2020 – Alkor, a cooperative group of distributors of stationery, office, school and early childhood supplies, has selected Intershop and partner DATASOLUTION for the redesign of its digital platform. The site serves as portal for Alkor´s B2B sales site for its brands Majuscule and Burolike. Additionally, it addresses its B2B2B business for the group's members.

 Extra motivated by the advantages gained from the re-platforming done in 2014-2016, it just has taken the next step boosting their digital sales channel with the latest project going live recently. With the new platform and additional functionality in place, the group continued with its successful B2B business, but has now extended its reach significantly. Thanks to its capability to manage different brands in this environment, Alkor now also provides its business partners the option to rent digital stores for their reseller channels which do not need to set up an own e-commerce platform or invest in sales and marketing activities. This way, the group reaches yet new market segments. Already, among the customers are businesses of all sizes, but also schools, clinics, and local authorities.

 The customer portal helps putting customers in the focus of the business. It handles personalized catalogs and pricings, individual basket approval workflows and specific taxing requirements. According to their requirements, customers can conveniently place recurring orders and group orders thus lowering costs per order. Allowing the placement of counterproposals and sharing content by brand and customer are further options to help nurture the customer relationship and the group´s further development.
