Jena, Germany, September 26, 2021 – Intershop Communications AG (ISIN: DE000A254211), a leading independent provider of innovative B2B commerce solutions, has supported the launch of the online marketplace of MIVO mitarbeitervorteile GmbH (MIVO) based on the Intershop Commerce Platform and the Mirakl Marketplace Platform. MIVO operates in the business-to-business-to-employee segment and already offers employee benefits for around 3,000 companies and almost one million registered users with its market-leading value-added portal in German-speaking countries. The project to strengthen MIVO's competitive position was implemented for the German market together with Intershop partners Smart Commerce and Mirakl, a leading global provider of marketplace solutions.

With the realization of a modern online marketplace, a unique selling proposition within the e-commerce platforms for the business world is to be established. Taking into account increasing user expectations, the shopping experience will be perfected with the help of the Intershop and Mirakl solutions, thus optimizing customer satisfaction and loyalty. In the newly created ecosystem, transactions are processed directly on the platform via integrated shopping carts, so that users are no longer redirected to third-party sites. As a result, customer data can be better collected and analyzed, which is expected to boost cross-selling and thus accelerate business growth in the long term.

Nadine Schulz-Curth, Head of Marketplace at MIVO mitarbeitervorteile GmbH: “Customers today simply expect more – more offers, more service, more functions. Everything has to be as convenient as possible. It is not always easy to meet these increasing demands. But our new MIVO shop, based on the platforms of Intershop and Mirakl, aims exactly in this direction and offers MIVO users an even simpler, more comprehensive and more convenient shopping experience than before – and still at attractive employee conditions.”

Markus Klahn, CEO of Intershop Communications AG: “We ourselves are a customer of MIVO mitarbeitervorteile GmbH and our latest marketplace project, which we implemented together with Smart Commerce and Mirakl, creates added value in two respects: On the one hand, we are helping MIVO to meet the increasing requirements and needs of customers in a digital world with a modern platform and an optimized shopping portfolio, thus laying the foundation for further growth. On the other hand, the online marketplace will increase not only the user experience but also the range of employee benefits. Our employees will benefit from that too, which makes me particularly happy.”
