Intershop Wins E-Commerce Germany Award in the "Best Platform/Shop Software" Category

  • Prize awarded on the basis of audience vote and evaluation of the offer by experts
  • Intershop solution wins out against eleven competitors, including Magento and shopware

Jena, 21 February 2019 - Award on the big stage: in Berlin, Intershop received the E-Commerce Germany Award in the "Best Platform/Shop Software" category from laudator and "E-Commerce Rockstar" Michael Atug. The award was presented at the E-Commerce Expo 2019 trade fair. The Intershop Commerce Suite won in the first evaluation phase based on a public vote from customers, partners, and the general public. The resulting Top 10 were evaluated by a jury including Carsten Hennig, Head of International at Mister Spex, Anna Montasser, Director Office Berlin at Bundesverband Onlinehandel e.V., Miro Morczinkek, CEO at Moebel24 and Nadine Litchfield, SM Consumer Markets & E-Commerce at Germany Trade & Invest.

This year, the E-Commerce Germany Awards counted over 350 nominations in the categories Platform / Shop Software, Payments, International Expansion, Analytics / BI Solution, Customer Communication Tool, Sales Generating Tool, Logistics, IT and Infrastructural Solution, Innovation / New Development in E-Commerce and Best Agency.

The award was presented at a festive event on the eve of the E-Commerce Expo in Berlin, at which Intershop participated with a trade fair stand and stage sponsoring. More than 5,000 visitors attended the event. Exemplary digitization projects were presented there. These included Intershop customer TRUMPF with its new customer experience platform and Mister Spex, who presented its multi-channel strategy. Intershop congratulates its customers on their well-received appearances and its partner dotsource, which was recognized as the best agency.
