  • YouTube
Settings saved. Please reload the page so that revoked consents are recognized.

Plug-ins from the streaming platform “YouTube.de” or “YouTube.com” are integrated into our website, making it possible to play videos directly on our website. When the streaming feature is used, information is also processed which is stored on users’ devices. The purpose of this data processing is to integrate visual content (“videos”) on the website that we have published on “YouTube.de”/”YouTube.com”. The videos are embedded in “extended privacy mode”, which means that no data about users will be transferred to YouTube if they do not play the videos. When videos are played on our website, YouTube receives the information that the corresponding page of our website has been retrieved. Additionally, access data – in particular the IP address, browser information, the website visited before, and the date and time of the server request – is transmitted to Google. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account that users are logged in with or whether no user account exists. If users are logged in to Google, the user data will be directly associated with the corresponding YouTube account. YouTube stores the data in the form of usage profiles and processes it, for statistical analysis and online advertising purposes, regardless of whether the user has a Google account.

In particular, there is a risk that your personal data may be processed by US authorities for monitoring and surveillance purposes, possibly without the possibility of a legal remedy to prevent access to the data or to establish the illegality of the access. In addition, there can be no assurance that your rights as a data subject can be fully implemented and that supervisory authorities in the US will take appropriate remedial action. Using YouTube involves such data transfers to third countries. If you do not wish to consent to your data being transferred to a third country, then you must disable YouTube.

Statistical analysis

Statistical analysis is the processing and presentation of data about user actions and interactions on websites and apps (e. g. number of page visits, number of unique visitors, number of returning visitors, entry and exit pages, time spent by the visitor on the website, bounce rate, activation of buttons) and, if applicable, the division of users into groups based on technical data about the software settings used (e. g. browser type, operating system, language setting, screen resolution).

  • Google Analytics
Settings saved. Please reload the page so that revoked consents are recognized.

The web analytics service Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies, tracking pixels and device fingerprinting to track specific user behaviour on websites. This involves processing information that is stored on users’ devices. Google uses the tracking pixels embedded in websites and the cookies stored on users’ devices to process the information generated about the use of our website by users’ devices, and access data, for the purpose of statistical analysis – e. g. the fact that a specific website has been accessed or the user registered for newsletters. For this purpose, it is also possible to determine whether different devices belong to you or to your household. Access data includes in particular the IP address, browser information, the website visited before and the date and time of the server request. Google Analytics is used with the “anonymizeIp()” extension. This shortens IP addresses before they are processed, in order to make it more difficult to identify individuals. According to Google, the IP addresses are shortened within member states of the European Union. Due to the use of the Google Analytics tool, the user’s browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. If a user is registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with the user’s account and create and evaluate user profiles across applications.

Recipient: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google, LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US

    Storage duration: 26 month

Third country transfer: When consenting to the use of Google Analytics, this also includes consenting to a possible transfer of data to the US. The US is classified by the European Court of Justice as a country without an adequate level of data protection and without appropriate safeguards according to EU standards. “Matomo” is open-source software that enables statistical evaluations on our website, especially regarding visitor numbers, page views, downloads and websites visited previously, and for measuring the success of entries in search engines. The analysed information and statistics are processed exclusively on our own web servers and in our databases. The “Matomo” tool uses technologies such as tracking pixels and fingerprinting to record, ana-lyse and categorise the information generated by the user’s device about the use of our website and interactions with our website as well as access data – in particular the IP address, browser information, the website visited previously, and the date and time of the server request – for the purpose of statistical analysis and measuring the reach of ads in search engines. We use “Matomo” with the “AnonymizeIP” extension, which means that IP addresses are shortened before processing them further in order to make it more difficult to identify individuals.

Statistical analysis, personalized advertising and reach measurement

Statistical analysis is the processing and presentation of data about user actions and interactions on websites and apps (e.g., number of page visits, number of unique visitors, number of returning visitors, entry and exit pages, dwell time, bounce rate, button actuation) and, where applicable, the classification of users into groups based on technical data about the software settings used (e.g., browser type, operating system, language setting, screen resolution).

Certain functions of websites and apps are used to display personalized advertising materials (ads or commercials) to users in other contexts, for example on other websites, platforms or apps. For this purpose, conclusions about the interests of users are drawn from demographic information, search terms used, contextual content, user behavior on websites and in apps, or from the location of users. Based on these interests, advertising materials will be selected in the future and displayed at other online content providers.

Reach measurement is visit action evaluation by analyzing user behavior in terms of determining specific user actions and measuring the effectiveness of online advertising. The number of visitors who have reached websites or apps by clicking on advertisements, for example, is measured. In addition, the rate of users who perform a certain action (e.g. registering for the newsletter, ordering goods) can be measured.

We use the Google AdWords advertising system on our website, including conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, referred to as “Google” below.

We use conversion tracking to promote our services to specific targets. The legal basis is point (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and efficient operation of our website.

If you click on a Google ad, our conversion tracking stores a cookie on your device. These conversion cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page on our website, both we and Google can analyze the data to establish that you have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and that you have then been directed to our website.

The information collected in this way enables Google to provide us with statistics about the visit to our website. This also provides us with information about the number of users who have clicked on our ad(s) and about our webpages that are subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor third parties who also used Google AdWords will be able to identify you in this way.

You can also prevent cookies from being installed, or restrict them, by configuring the settings in your Internet browser. You can also delete stored cookies at any time. The steps and actions required for this depend on the specific Internet browser that you use. If you have any questions, please use your Internet browser’s Help section or documentation or contact its manufacturer or support service.
