Your mission
Our e-commerce solutions are generally operated in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, but also with traditional hosters. As a (Junior) System Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on cloud environment, you have the task of correctly dimensioning our systems in terms of infrastructure and making our products available on them initially and continuously. During operation, you set up suitable mechanisms for monitoring all systems and are also involved in monitoring them. Your tasks also include optimizing the systems in terms of availability, security and performance. One of your responsibilities is to smoothly design the interaction between infrastructure, operating system, middleware, databases and our applications.
Your profile
- First work experience in the cloud environment
- Good to very good knowledge of the Linux operating system; experience with Microsoft Windows is an advantage
- Knowledge of setting up infrastructure services for cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google)
- Knowledge of the setup and administration of database systems (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and / or PostgreSQL)
- Good analytical skills or experience in problem analysis of distributed Java-based web applications
- Knowledge of using tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Bamboo and / or Git
- Experience in configuration management, for example via Ansible, Chef, Puppet and / or Salt
- Experience with monitoring / reporting solutions in the open source area, such as Nagios / Icinga, Zabbix, Elastic Stack and / or other applications
- Good written and spoken German and English
