A juicy steak, a delicious premium burger, the best sauces and spices for moments of enjoyment at home: The Block Group has achieved cult status because of the standards it’s set in gastronomy and food production. To strengthen the online brand experience and give customers flexible access to Block's products, the long-established Hamburg-based family business realized a clever digitalization strategy together with Intershop and its business partner signTEK.

The Block Group specializes in the areas of system catering, hotel business and food production. The success story goes back to the first Block House steak restaurant, which opened in 1968 in Hamburg-Winterhude. The current group of companies gradually grew out of the experience gained in running restaurants, the passion for gastronomy and the high quality standards. There are now 55 Block House restaurants across Europe, serving more than 6 million guests a year.
