Jena (GER), April 16, 2024 – Intershop together with Fenego and Two Point O, both part of the Xplore Group, is launching a standardized connector for the integration of the Intershop Commerce Platform and Contentful’s composable content platform, setting a milestone in the world of e-commerce and CMS integration.

The Contentful-Intershop Connector is a convenient standalone application that seamlessly integrates into the Intershop composable commerce architecture, allowing it to flexibly collaborate with other e-commerce components. By maintaining a balance between automation and customization, it allows users to easily browse through the Intershop catalog and incorporate selected products into all their digital experiences across all channels through Contentful. The most important functions of the connector include a configurable setup for connecting to Intershop, storing selected SKU IDs in the content, selecting products individually or per (sub)category and deselecting individual products when using the category selection. In addition to streamlined integration, the application also provides increased efficiency, scalability, consistency, flexibility, interoperability, ease of maintenance and future-proofing for content and commerce.
