Mail order specialist 4Care launches new online shop on Intershop 7
- Responsive design harnesses huge possibilities
- Innovative advisory tools and videos aim to make ordering glasses fun
Jena, December 18, 2014 – Intershop, the leading independent provider of omni-channel commerce solutions, is again supporting the Lensbest online shop from 4Care.
Ordering replacement contact lenses quickly by smartphone or shopping for the latest eyewear fashions on a tablet – all this will be possible with Lensbest. The new shop is programmed in responsive design and will make shopping an enticing experience anytime and anywhere, no matter what mobile device is used. The Kiel-based company is now using Intershop 7 for this purpose. A longtime customer of Intershop, 4Care has introduced a whole array of additional functions as part of its migration, particularly related to marketing and promotion.
Since the relaunch, the Kiel-based company's online shop boasts higher standards of quality in terms of both content and technology. It represents the latest generation of interactive shopping portals – fittingly, because Lensbest aims to act as an interactive tour guide for its customers that will accompany and advise them as they search for their ideal product. Innovative service tools, advisory videos about glasses and information about good vision combined with style tips make Lensbest one of Germany's most attractive online shops for contact lenses and glasses. Meanwhile, in the background, Intershop 7 makes sure customers enjoy the best experience possible.
Volker John, Intershop’s Vice President of Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, says, "With the relaunch of the 4Care online shop, Intershop has proven just how relevant its product portfolio is to the market, particularly among small to mid-size businesses. Intershop enables companies to grow their online shop successfully and migrate smoothly."
