Intershop and Coolpink Partnership Enhances Online Sales for UK E-tailers
- Coolpink brings front-end development and user experience expertise to Intershop 7 e-commerce platform
- Partnership to enhance web site traffic volume and sales conversions
London, UK, 15 May 2013 – Multi-channel e-commerce solutions provider Intershop, today announced a partnership with brand engagement agency, Coolpink to further enhance traffic volume and sales conversions to UK e-commerce web sites.
Coolpink has worked in the retail e-commerce market for more than 12 years and supports organisations such as DFS, Weber, Smeg and ASDA with services such as creative strategy, digital and social marketing, user experience and web development.
In past years, the brand engagement agency would have developed e-commerce platforms itself. Coolpink now plans to keep pace with market demands by focusing on its core strengths of brand engagement and leverage best in class technology components from strategic partners such as Intershop.
Mark Bower, Managing Director at Coolpink explains, “We have known Intershop for a very long time. It was always a great product and the work that has been invested in Intershop 7 now allows us to differentiate using the platform. It’s technically excellent, and extremely solid, high performance e-commerce software that is proven to scale significantly. Intershop gives us an affordable best of breed solution for our mid-tier customers to help them grow to very large enterprises without running out of steam.”
Matt Ball, Head of Sales UK & Ireland at Intershop, adds, “Usable websites increase customer satisfaction which leads to increased time spent on the site. This in turn results in more leads and sales generated, so it’s a critical element of e-commerce operations. From design elements such as spacing, links, colour, imagery, and navigation right through to SEO, creative strategy and user analytics, if not done well, hugely hinder sales transactions. This new partnership with Coolpink will certainly enhance our offering in the UK.”
The partnership was formally signed in April 2013 and takes immediate effect.
Working with some of the UK’s biggest brands for over a decade, Coolpink has established a market leading reputation offering insight and strategy, creative, digital marketing, web development and content management systems, mobile and social and PR. The Company believes that common sense clouds innovation, so it practices uncommon sense; the principle that people want real information, and that brands which make themselves useful, sell more. Clients include Asda, DFS, Smeg, Warner and Weber. See http://www.coolpink.net.
