Four Seasons General Merchandise Launches New Intershop Powered Site
- Enfinity Suite 6 Live for a Leading Wholesaler in US
San Francisco, California, December 12, 2007 – Intershop Communications, a leading provider of E commerce software for global enterprises, today announced that Four Seasons General Merchandise, an industry leading wholesaler, importer, exporter and distributor of general merchandise supplies, successfully launched an updated 4sgm.com storefront powered by Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6.
“We selected Enfinity as a platform to expand our current online features and functionalities. In addition, Enfinity also allows integration of various applications. As our business grows, Enfinity can expand with us to handle more visitors and more transactions. There is no doubt that im¬plementation of new requirements will remain easy thanks to Enfinity’s flexible cartridge framework.” stated Mahmoud Paridehpour, E-Commerce Manager of Four Seasons General Merchandise and 4sgm.com.
www.4sgm.com now allows for registered users – who represent purchasing agents at various retailers like dollar stores, gift shops and discount stores around the country and international importers - to shop for wholesale items via sophisticated pricing group structures and to ship orders via a number of different freight and ground service options. Sophisticated search tools are now available for users to create and share their shopping lists and to access their recent order histories for reordering items quickly and easily.
Plans are already under way to expand the new platform to support additional functionality for 4sgm.com’s consumer and partner websites. 4sgm.com also plans to leverage the Enfinity system to build a Spanish language offering. Enfinity’s native localization capabilities will allow each page and every product in the system to be viewable in either Spanish or English when the translation efforts are completed later next year.
“Our new website is faster, more user-friendly and has advanced features and functions. We now can offer more services to our customers, such as: invoice history, customer account management, wish list, advanced search, freight estimate and package deals. These are only a few of many other options we hope will help customers access the information they need quickly and easily. We are planning to open a variety of sites aiming to support our partners and customers (in different industries) as Enfinity’s capabilities allow” stated Bruce Gabbai, CEO of Four Seasons General Merchandise and 4sgm.com.
“The success of the 4sgm.com project is yet another accolade for Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6 product and how it can be leveraged by the mid-tier market” stated Tjipto Sugijoto, Intershop Practice Director. “Enfinity Suite 6 enables companies large or small to build fully customizable multi-site, multi-lingual, solutions and roll out functional components as they are needed – without having to purchase hardware and software up front that they don’t need.”
