Telstra Advertising Network extends Major Contract with Intershop

  • Telstra Advertising Network, formerly known as Telstra Media Classifieds, extends Managed Service Agreement with Intershop
  • New contract focuses on extending the current platform to accommodate business needs and growth
  • In addition launching a new mobile platform, and potentially bringing on additional online business onto a single managed digital solution is planned
  • Total value of the contract about EUR 11 million

Jena, Germany, March 28, 2012 – Intershop Communications AG, provider of integrated e-commerce solutions, has received a new order from the Australia's largest telecommunication company Telstra. The contract encompasses services with a total value of approximately $14.25 million AUD over a 3 year period, which corresponds to about 11 million EUR. The new contract extends a previous engagement with Telstra with a similar structure which began in July 2009.

In June 2008 Intershop originally developed a C-to-C platform dedicated to auctions and classifieds for the Telstra subsidiary Sensis ( based on Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6 standard software. It became later the leading shopping platform of its kind in Australia. Based on the new contract Intershop will deliver additional services.

Telstra uses Intershop-technology in various parts of its complex infrastructure, both customer facing, but also as a major platform for its backend-processes.
