Jena, Germany, November 28, 2018 – Intershop supports, a start-up by Royal IHC, with a digital commerce platform dedicated to deliver high-quality spare parts for dredging- and offshore vessels globally.

ShipSupport is dedicated to supporting their clients and global partners by providing a more efficient way to maximize performance and uptime. A one-stop-online-shop for the maritime industry shipping top quality spare parts anywhere around the world. The commerce software solution is hosted in Microsoft Azure, and additionally to the diverse and complex business processes that are already embedded in the Intershop Commerce Suite, the Product Information Management will take care of the 200.000 - and counting - products.

Dave Vander Heyde, CEO Royal IHC, is quick to respond when asked what sets apart from other e-commerce platforms available in the maritime industry: “If we sell a product of which its uptime lasts over the life cycle of the vessel or the piece of equipment, then we have a very happy customer.
