Music Store Launches E-Commerce Project with Intershop

German musical instrument specialist chooses Intershop software for upcoming e-commerce initiative

Jena, Germany - March 21, 2006 - Intershop Communications AG (Prime Standard: ISH2) has signed a software license and support agreement with Music Store A. Sauer GmbH, one of Europe's leading mail-order specialists for musical instruments and technical equipment. The new e-commerce project will create a portal at to serve the company's non-institutional customers. The e-commerce platform will be powered by packaged Enfinity Suite 6 software from Intershop.

In addition to licenses for Enfinity Suite 6, the agreement covers a range of implementation and maintenance services. Enfinity Suite 6 e-commerce software enables all of a company's e-commerce activities to be brought together and managed on a single system. Primary benefits include significantly reduced admin effort and a much lower investment in hardware.

Music Store sells its products in over 20 countries, using offline channels like catalogs and shops as well as online channels. The company's multi-channel strategy is intended to extend its reach while also meeting the needs of customers who wish to have a choice of purchase options.
