Leading Romanian Retailer chooses Intershop´s Cloud Solution

Jena, 31 May, 2018 – Leading Romanian retailer elefant.ro is among the first customers leveraging Intershop´s latest offering, Commerce-as-a-Service (CaaS). This cloud-based solution will allow elefant.ro to expand its already significant market presence both regionally and internationally. Today, elefant.ro serves some 1.5 million customers with a vast range of products of fashion, electronic goods, books, home goods, and toys.

The retailer aims to migrate from a homegrown solution to one that offers unlimited scalability with highest security standards while putting an optimal customer experience in focus. The solution so far in place had reached its limits as efforts for implementing new functionalities, rollouts into new markets, and maintenance costs had developed into being barriers for elefant´s growth plans.
