Jena, Germany, October 27, 2009 – Intershop has secured a license order from Swiss telecommunications provider Sunrise to relaunch its online store. Sunrise’s new online offering will provide customers and prospects with an easy-to-use e-commerce system. The entire solution will be based on Enfinity Suite 6.3, Intershop’s e-commerce packaged software, and thus on a new system architecture.
The new platform will give consumers and business customers access to all the company’s products and services, as well as the relevant product information. Integration of a variety of applications will deliver seamless mapping of business processes and order management, with Enfinity Suite’s content management system ensuring that content can be updated efficiently and intuitively.
The Sunrise license order was won by Stuttgart-based Internet agency digital media center (dmc) on the strength of its partnership with Intershop and marks the first major joint order for the two companies. dmc is prime contractor, with Intershop providing the software license and support, together with consulting services that leverage its extensive telecommunications experience.
