Intershop names Donn Atkins “Strategic Initiatives Advisor”

Jena, Germany, February 1, 2013 – Intershop Communications announced that Donn Atkins was named “Strategic Initiatives Advisor” for the company. Atkins, who is Senior Partner of FlexSkill Consulting LLC, a US based firm, will work with the Intershop leadership team to support the company's growth initiatives. In addition, FlexSkill partners will be assisting the company on selected projects. 

Atkins is a 30-year veteran of IBM with deep experience in Software. He had roles in sales, marketing, operations and product development culminating with his role as GM Worldwide Sales and Marketing for IBM's Software Group. His last position for IBM was GM of Worldwide Business Partners where he led the company's efforts with their 90,000 channel partners. 

Commenting on the announcement Jochen Moll, Intershop CEO said, "Donn Atkins has very long history in the software business. He helped establish the IBM software sales efforts around the world. He and his team will help Intershop reach new customers and partners and to build the capabilities we will need to grow."

Intershop has ambitious goals in growing their market presence. In order to reach these goals Intershop is currently extending its international sales channels, expanding its global partner network of business consulting and implementation partners, and identifying additional models of partnerships.
