Jena, Germany - September 27, 2006 - The Intershop Open 2006 sees Intershop Communications AG hosting a fourth gathering of the international Intershop community. The Company is now inviting users and developers from around the globe to the city of Jena, from October 10 to 11.
Birgit Diezel, Vice Minister President and Treasury Secretary of Thuringia, is opening the 2006 Intershop Open. There will also be a festive evening event at Jena City Hall, hosted jointly by Intershop and Mayor Dr. Albrecht Schröter.
At this year's Intershop Open, Intershop will be demonstrating that it has evolved from a software provider into an end-to-end e-commerce company. The focus of the event is on the seamless integration of high-end e-commerce solutions, online marketing, IT services, and logistics-in short: full-service e-commerce.
200 European manufacturers of branded goods, mail-order retailers, Intershop technology partners, journalists, and analysts will be gathering to discuss how enterprises can maximize the potential of online retailing for their bottom line. Prominent guest speakers from all over the world have been invited to attend.
In addition to Birgit Diezel, Vice Minister President and Treasury Secretary of Thuringia, Bernd M. Michael, Chairman of Grey Global Group, Andreas Hofman, Director of Product Marketing at .Sun Microsystems Inc., and Paul Jackson, Analyst at Forrester Research, have agreed to deliver keynote addresses.
