Intershop hosted successful European Customer Day

Jena, October 19, - During October 13-14 Intershop hosted its European Intershop Customer Day (EICD) near Amsterdam. More than 60 customers and partner from all over Europe joined for the gathering. During the program that covered two days, Henry Göttler Board member of Intershop laid out Intershop´s strategy “Enable the Shop Manager“. It is designed to support an e-commerce responsible of a company in his many tasks by making e-commerce processes more effective, measurable and controllable.

The agenda of the EICD also included the presentation of successful customer projects at the European Publishing Office and KPN. Furthermore, perspectives were provided for upcoming trends in e-commerce. The event´s full program was completed with a presentation by Steven Davis from Intershop´s strategic partner GSI. He explained how global developments that origin in logistics will impact e-commerce in the years to come.

An answer to these trends can be provided by the offering of the Intershop daughter TheBakery. Therefore, the potential and scenarios of use for their transaction platform was presented. But also developments at the core of e-commerce, the online-shop itself, were in focus of the attendees. Intershop showed product updates of the Enfinity Suite and gave an outlook of its planned further development. Additionally to these points the agenda included the presentation of SoQuero´s Feed Engine and featured presentations of Intershop´s technology partners Avail Intelligence and Smart Information Systems.

The feedback from the participants of the events was all positive. Therefore, the next part of this series is already planned for next year.
