Utrecht, The Netherlands, January 21, 2014 – Intershop, the leading independent provider of omni-channel commerce solutions, has announced details of its presence at this year's Webwinkel Vakdagen, which takes place on 22 and 23 January at Jaarbeurs Utrecht in Utrecht, Netherlands. With a focus on the future of commerce and a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints, Intershop will be joined on stand A55 by its partners, Calago and Informatica.

Intershop customer de Bijenkorf, Netherland's award-winning premium department store chain, will share details on how it has implemented a forward-looking mobile strategy on Intershop's commerce platform. The presentation titled 'Mobile and Tablet at' will be held on Wednesday 22 January from 11.30-12.00 in the 'Social Media and M-Commerce' theatre. More than half of the traffic on the de Bijenkorf website comes from mobile phones and tablets. Pieter Heij, Director MultiChannel and IT, de Bijenkorf, will explain how the website was optimized for a range of devices and how key metrics have evolved over the last two years on mobile devices.

E-commerce in the Netherlands is booming, and for many retailers, online will be the core of their growth strategy for the coming years.
