Amsterdam, 29 March 2018 – Today, the annual Shopping Awards Gala takes place in Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk. Two Intershop customers have been nominated for the title “Best B2B web shop 2018”: Online technical wholesaler Zamro and world market leader in mounting and fixing materials Würth.
This year, for the first time, there is a jury prize for salespeople on the business market to win. Roelof Swiers, Country Manager Intershop Benelux: "B2C is often in the spotlight, but there are also all kinds of developments in the field of B2B that deserve attention. As far as we are concerned, Zamro and Würth are rightly nominated. Zamro because of its innovative character, its scalability and international growth, and Würth because it has a very strong digital presence coming from a traditional environment. We think it is important that more attention is paid to B2B trade. That is also why we took the initiative to introduce the B2B Award.”
Zamro: 'Intershop offers a solid foundation on which customization is possible'.
Eric Croon, CCO and one of the initiators of Zamro is proud of this nomination. "We are a young company that has achieved a great deal in a short space of time. This is possible because we stand in the shoes of our customers and listen carefully to them. The collected data are essential because they show exactly how the customers behave – and so we really get to know our customers. Another success factor is our team of 80 energetic 'Zamroni's', who want to improve the customers’ world and are not afraid to experiment - and sometimes fail. The Intershop platform is the perfect basis for us to do this. It has a solid foundation for growth and at the same time offers opportunities for customization.”
Würth: 'We have transformed into a real omnichannel organization'.
Gerard Scheffel, e-commerce manager at Würth, sees the nomination of Würth mainly as a result of the efforts that have been made in recent years to transform from a classic sales organization into an omnichannel one. "The online shop is our heartbeat. The Intershop platform has made it possible for us to turn the shop into a management tool as well. For example, the customers can also create cost centers in the online environment and view their invoice history. There is track and trace and even an approval process possible. However, personal contact remains essential. Our 360 field staff members are therefore in close contact with our customers - even if they are mainly active online.”
In the B2C category, two more Intershop customers have been nominated: Bijenkorf and PLUS.
