Austrian market leader in cellular technology deploys proven Enfinity software

Jena, Germany - October 17, 2006 - mobilkom austria, the market leading Austrian cellular network provider, has just launched a new product brand online at The long-time Intershop customer again chose technology from the Jena-based software company, with the portal being powered by Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6 product.

The new portal will enable mobilkom austria to offer more flexible entry-level mobile telecommunications services for retail customers via the Internet. The Austrian cell phone company has tasked Intershop with providing various implementation and maintenance services for Enfinity Suite 6. The online store is a crucial element in mobilkom austria’s wider e-commerce strategy.

Enfinity Suite 6 e-commerce software allows enterprises to aggregate and manage all their e-commerce activities on a single system. For mobilkom austria, this significantly reduces admin costs and hardware spending.

"With the online store, we have been working on a major new project in an industry with exciting development potential for e-commerce," says Ralf Männlein, the Intershop board member in charge of sales and marketing.
