Jena, Germany, 3 June 2013 – Intershop Communications AG today has appointed Axel Köhler as Senior Vice President Global Sales and Customer Operations. Köhler joins Intershop coming from computer manufacturer Dell. In his new role he will be responsible for the strategic planning and roll-out of the world-wide sales program as well as the global marketing activities. Köhler brings in more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry during which he has served in several senior management positions in sales and marketing.

Over the last months Intershop has set special focus on partnerships as a chance to leverage their extended know-how and additional sales force to develop even more efficient and customer-specific e-commerce solutions for the market. With the appointment of Axel Köhler another milestone has been reached in this direction.
