Jena, Germany - December 19, 2006 - Intershop Communications AG domiciled in Jena/ Thuringia and the FIEGE Group have decided on a comprehensive partnership agreement for supply chain services required for pan-German international projects. FIEGE is one of the leading 3PL providers in Europe. Both companies have agreed within the framework of their new partnership on the integration of software and online marketing solutions by Intershop and fulfillment services by FIEGE.
The co-operation covers Intershop's new business segment, full-service e-commerce, through which the company has been covering since the beginning of the year 2006 all aspects of e-commerce that go beyond the technical realm. Intershop thus accepts the overall responsibility for e-commerce projects of new clients. Intershop's focus segment remains the technical product portfolio: Its e-commerce software Enfinity, as well as its online marketing solution SoQuero. The fulfillment segment for projects that are carried out Europe-wide will be covered by its new partner, FIEGE. For this, FIEGE merges the fulfillment activities in the newly-founded subsidiary FIEGE-PVS, a joint venture with PVS Fulfillment-Service GmbH based in Neckarsulm/Germany.
This offers new customers a high-performance general solution for the future. Both companies jointly vouch for successful Internet-based retailing of their customers. The new integration solution will be available beyond Germany with immediate effect.
