Dr. Ludger Vogt appointed to Management Board of Intershop

  • Longstanding senior executive will be second member of Intershop Communications AG’s Management Board
  • Supervisory Board uses this appointment to strengthen corporate management and confirm existing strategy

Jena, November 28, 2008 – Intershop Communications AG (Prime Standard: ISH2) has announced that the Supervisory Board today has appointed Dr. Ludger Vogt, born in 1960, to be the second member of the Company’s Management Board effective December 1, 2008. Dr. Vogt has worked for the Jena-based e-commerce provider since 1999 in international management positions in sales and the project business.

Dr. Vogt played a key role in the restructuring of Intershop in early 2007. Under his leadership, the Company significantly increased project revenues and expanded its international sales activities, allowing it to report stable revenues and earnings since that time.

“I’m very pleased to welcome my new colleague on the Management Board. I have come to admire him very much, both professionally and personally, over the many years we have worked together. Together, we succeeded in turning Intershop around a year and a half ago, backed at all times by a dream team – Intershop’s employees. Ludger Vogt and I have a clear vision of the Company’s future development. His appointment to the Management Board means that the structure at the top is now also in place to realize this vision,” according to Intershop CEO Henry Göttler.

“This new responsibility gives me the perfect scope for further developing Intershop’s sales activities and project business, and for expanding cooperation with our partners. Because the tasks can now be divided, Henry Göttler can better concentrate on his own domains, which are mainly strategy, portfolio, and product development. We now have an optimum division of responsibilities, and I’m looking forward to the new challenges,” said Dr. Vogt, commenting on this appointment.
