Dr. Jochen Wiechen joins Intershop Board of Management

Jena, Germany, May 16, 2013 – Leading e-commerce solutions provider Intershop Communications AG (ISIN: DE000A0EPUH1), today announced changes in the Board of Management. Effective August 1, Dr. Jochen Wiechen will join Jochen Moll and Ludwig Lutter in the management team as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). In this role, he will be responsible for product development, the technical departments, and the full-service division.

In this role, Dr. Wiechen will complement the executive team with his experience from medium-sized and large software companies in repositioning Intershop as market leader.”

Prior to the engagement with Intershop Dr. Wiechen (56) was Vice President at SAP AG overseeing product strategy development as well as product management, development and support for the Workforce Performance Builder, a product acquired by the SAP AG from the datango AG. At datango, Dr. Wiechen had been member of the Executive Board and Head of Product Development & Support of datango´s product portfolio. Previous to this, Dr. Wiechen had served as CTO of the venture capital company Martlet Venture Management Ltd. responsible for the overall technical strategy and the portfolio's technical development. With a doctorate in physics Dr. Wiechen started his career at PSI AG in Berlin, followed by various management roles within the ERP division of PSI AG, finally acting as managing director of Psipenta GmbH.
