Changes in the Management Board of Intershop Communications AG

Jena, April 1, 2012 – Intershop Communications AG (ISIN: DE000A0EPUH1) announces changes in the Executive Board. Dr. Ludger Vogt who has been a member of the Executive Board for many years has resigned his position with immediate effect with the consent of the board of directors. Effective April 1, 2012 Jochen Moll will become Member and Spokesman of the Executive Board of Intershop Communications AG. Jochen Moll will be in charge of Sales, Marketing and Consulting.

Dr. Ludger Vogt has been with Intershop since 1999. As Vice President (VP) Services he lead Consulting, Customer Support and Technical Training up until 2006. Starting 2007 he was also put in charge of Sales and Marketing before becoming a member of the Executive Team in 2008. Dr. Herbert May, chairman of the supervisory board states: “The supervisory board thanked Dr. Ludger Vogt for his achievements in the past, particularly for his achievements in conjunction with the business years 2010 and 2011 in which the Company achieved the best results in its history, the successful restructuring process in 2007 and the strategic partnership with GSI Commerce, Inc.

Dr. May explains the focus of the new Spokesman of the Executive Board: “We want to strengthen Intershop´s international business. Bringing in his extensive experience and strict customer focus, Jochen Moll will contribute to this goal substantially.” Jochen Moll (44) has over 20 years of experience in executive positions in the IT-industry. With IBM Jochen Moll held several executive positions among which he was Vice President (VP) for Business Partner Organization Central Region and for the Software Group Central Region Europe (DACH). With EMC Jochen Moll headed the entire German business unit. In addition as Vice President for Strategic Alliances he was in charge of the System Integrator Business in EMEA before becoming CEO of BizSphere AG, an international Start-Up company that specializes on software solutions for customer relationship management.
