Jena, 5 May, 2015 – Intershop Communications AG, leading provider of innovative omni-channel commerce, today announces a change in its supervisory board. Effective April 30, 2015 Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Mohr has resigned as the vice-chairman of the supervisory board due to other professional obligations. Chairman Dr. Herbert May thanks the leaving member for his manifold support in regard to the transformation of Intershop towards becoming a product-focused solution provider.
Following the joint proposal of the supervisory board and the board of management, Dr. Harald Schrimpf, CEO of PSI AG, has been appointed as a board member by the Jena District Court until the next annual shareholders’ meeting in place of the resigning member. Dr. May welcomes Dr. Schrimpf as well-esteemed and experienced manager in the software business. Dr. Schrimpf is looking forward to this new responsibility: “Similarly to the utility and manufacturing industries, the world of commerce is facing tremendous changes due to digitalization. Based on my expertise, I would like to support Intershop in being the best solution provider for their customers in this dynamic market and, thus, enabling profitable growth.”
