Jena, 1 December 2016 – The Supervisory Board of Intershop Communications AG is undergoing a change in personnel. From 1 December 2016, Mr. Ulrich Prädel will be the newest member of the Supervisory Board.

Intershop Communications AG has made two major new appointments in the areas of marketing and sales. Effective immediately, Carsten Schröder is the new head of marketing for Europe. An experienced industry expert, Carsten brings a wealth of experience from his twelve-year management career in marketing and public relations. Prior to joining Intershop, Carsten was most recently head of marketing for one of SAP’s leading e-commerce partners in southern Germany.
CWS-boco International, a leading global provider of washroom hygiene and textile solutions, has launched a new B2B online store based on Intershop technology. At the heart of the new portal for business customers is the Intershop Commerce Suite, one of the top three digital commerce platforms across five key use case scenarios, according to a recent comparison study by IT research group Gartner.
Nine Intershop customers are among the winners of the 2016 German Online Shop Awards. All top three places in the Sport & Fitness category were awarded to brands whose online shop is based on the Intershop platform. The best German online shops were selected following a consumer survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality and n-tv, evaluating the opinions of 35,000 customers.
