Major Order from Munich International Trade Fairs Group (MMI)
MMI has purchased comprehensive e-commerce software licenses and consulting services from Intershop
- Standardized platform for all fairs organized by MMI
- Long term co-operation planned
Jena, August 10, 2009 – Today, Intershop Communications AG announces another major customer win. The Munich International Trade Fairs Group has purchased comprehensive e-commerce software licenses and consulting services from Intershop. Currently the MMI is expanding its business and will market its capacities more intensively on the basis of an Enfinity Suite 6 platform. As the first part of the project the ticket portal will go live already within a few weeks. This will be followed by the world-wide roll out. In addition, the extension of a number of further online offerings is planned. Customers of the Munich International Trade Fairs Group then can configure and book their stands online for all fairs organized by MMI. Besides the booth construction this includes the required infrastructure, security services, booth logistics and an array of further offerings related to the trade-show presentation. Existing systems for ticket sales, registration, and exhibitor services will be integrated into the new platform are connected to it.
Elke Wendel-Lander, Head of IT at MMI points out: „With its concept for our specific requirements and its long list of successful customer projects Intershop has convinced us absolutely and scored well above other offerings. The Intershop team is the only one that is able to entirely implement the project in the time and budget required. After a successful going live of our trade show platform we are planning to move step by step all our online initiatives to Intershop technology.”
