Growing B2B market underpins promising business growth
- New mid-range customer business exceeds expectations
- Project business pushes capacity
- SaaS is major focal point in portfolio of solutions
Jena, 03-24-2015 – Intershop’s 2015 fiscal year is off to a successful start. The B2B business in particular is showing high demand. This represents a growth opportunity especially for medium-sized companies, which are implementing projects based on Intershop. Customers like Cenpac, won with partner Datasolution, Aventics GmbH and Weyland GmbH are already tapping this potential for themselves.
The online grocery business in Scandinavia and the Benelux states is also seeing major growth. In the past few months alone, Martin & Servera AB and Daily Fresh Food BV have used the Intershop solution to create the right basis for selling to their business customers.
The trend of operating websites with a SaaS solution is growing. Intershop scores extra points with its customers on this aspect, since it offers them a choice between running the technology of a solution, operating a conventional SaaS shop and completely outsourcing the running of the shop to Intershop. Rösch GmbH and a renowned manufacturer of household appliances have also used this method to add to their sales. The new customer Erlau GmbH is about to go online within the next couple of days, too.
Partners that support their customers with hosting and cloud services are seeing success with the Intershop platform, too. While Carrenza in the United Kingdom is enjoying recognition for its innovative solution, serving companies such as Majestic Wine and de Bijenkorf, Platinum partner Brightstep is an established partner for the Vattenfall online shop. In the full-service segment, a major project acquired jointly with our partner ModusLink is a focus this quarter. In a few weeks the first of a number of consumer brands is expected to go online.
