Intershop Wins New Customer Projects in Asia
Asian partner Com2B provides Intershop with expertise in customer loyalty programs
Jena, Germany, January 30, 2007 - Intershop Communications AG is expanding its market position in Taiwan with a new project. Intershop sales partner and e-commerce specialist Com2B is set to go live with its project for the country's number two telecommunications company, FarEasTone, using Intershop software.
Supported by Enfinity Suite 6, FarEasTone is building customer loyalty by adding e-commerce elements to its blog community. Taipei-based Com2B has already made innovative use of Intershop software in previous projects. The three-year sales partnership has produced customers of the caliber of Taipei Fubon Bank (Taiwan's largest branch bank) and electronics giant Sony Taiwan.
The expansion of the partnership will allow Intershop to acquire extensive expertise in customer loyalty programs. Based on Intershop's Enfinity Suite 6 software, Com2B has developed an e-commerce solution with integrated loyalty program for Taiwanese customers DingDing Direct Marketing and Taipei Fubon Bank. Examples of such programs are bonus programs, e.g., loyalty points, the frequent flyer miles offered by various airlines, and value-added services, such as, discounts, bonuses, and special rates and benefits.
"This partnership and the experience gained from the new customer projects in Taiwan allow Intershop to add loyalty management expertise to its e-commerce competence", says Ralf Männlein, the Intershop board member responsible for sales and marketing. "We can apply this expertise to other markets, such as, Europe and the USA."
