Music Store Launches E-Commerce Project with Intershop

German musical instrument specialist chooses Intershop software for upcoming e-commerce initiative

Jena, Germany - March 21, 2006 - Intershop Communications AG (Prime Standard: ISH2) has signed a software license and support agreement with Music Store A. <nobr>Sauer GmbH</nobr>, one of Europe's leading <nobr>mail-order</nobr> specialists for musical instruments and technical equipment. The new <nobr>e-commerce</nobr> project will create a portal at www.musicstore.de to serve the company's <nobr>non-institutional</nobr> customers. The <nobr>e-commerce</nobr> platform will be powered by packaged Enfinity <nobr>Suite 6</nobr> software from Intershop.

In addition to licenses for Enfinity <nobr>Suite 6</nobr>, the agreement covers a range of implementation and maintenance services. Enfinity <nobr>Suite 6</nobr> <nobr>e-commerce</nobr> software enables all of a company's <nobr>e-commerce</nobr> activities to be brought together and managed on a single system. Primary benefits include significantly reduced admin effort and a much lower investment in hardware.

Music Store sells its products in over <nobr>20 countries</nobr>, using offline channels like catalogs and shops as well as online channels. The company's <nobr>multi-channel</nobr> strategy is intended to extend its reach while also meeting the needs of customers who wish to have a choice of purchase options.
