OPPORTUNITY

As a consultant specializing in Java / J2EE, you will be challenged to apply your experience and know how to implement B2B, B2C ecommerce for global customers on INTERSHOP flagship product Enfinity Suite 6. You will help leading FORTUNE 500 clients solve critical business needs by designing business processes, integrating multiple systems, and launching a state of the art ecommerce platform.

You will be involved in the entire lifecycle from analysis and planning to customization and deployment. You will work in our global team working closely with R&D team to meet project requirements and surpass customer expectations.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will implement solutions to meet our client’s requirements by configuring and/or customizing our Enfinity Suite 6 product utilizing company and industry best practices. You will train our client's or partner teams in the ongoing maintenance of the newly deployed ecommerce solution.

Some of the position's responsibilities include:

Document customization specifications or Gap Analysis to Enfinity Suite 6 to meet the client’s requirements using object oriented design (UML) and the Intershop implementation methodology capturing process change, security definition, user experience design, workflow, and infrastructure needs
Coding custom Java pipelets to embed in Enfinity pipelines or web services interface
Coding transformations of XML using xslt to map import/export files
Coding AJAX, HTML, Java Script to enable interactive components
Implement business processes in UNIX/Linux/Windows systems and administration of Oracle 10g
Assist in analyzing client process improvement through needs analysis and recommending new business models, workflows, or innovative solutions that leverage Enfinity out of the box features
Training of end-users, clients engineers, partner engineers and/or system administrators
Write documentation for requirements analysis, design specifications, user’s guides, installation guides, and custom training materials
Participate in overall project planning, effort estimation, and resource scheduling.
Travel to client sites as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED

3 years ecommerce technical implementation experience with Intershop Enfinity, Demandware, Broadvision, BlueMartini, ATG, Websphere Commerce or Microsoft CommerceServer
5 years experience implementing web technologies, experience using J2EE
Development experience with JSP, Servlets, LDAP, Portlets, EJB, JDBC, SQL, JNDI. * Experience with application server implementation such as WebSphere or BEA.
Strong understanding and knowledge of J2EE architecture, EJB, UML, Patterns / Frameworks, JDBC/ODBC, UML modeling & OOD skills, and J2EE integration points with external or third party products. Strong understanding of the MVC pattern or the STRUT framework
Experience in end to end Software Development Life Cycle, XP, UML and Use Case methodologies
Web Services development experience desirable (e.g. XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI)
Competence in UNIX, Linux
Ability and willingness to travel to client sites to perform consulting services
Oracle database administration (SQL, installation, tablespaces, SQLnet) is a plus
Experience with search engines (Verity, AltaVista, Autonomy, etc.), analytics (Omniture, Cognos, Hitbox, Webtrends etc), payment processing (Verisign, ClearCommerce, etc.) is a plus
Written communication (requirements specification, system design, user guides)
Strong customer facing skills, ability to share knowledge and experience with other technical team members
Oral communication (customer interaction, requirements analysis, presentations, training)
Position is based in San Francisco Bay Area and willing to travel
