Sales Consultant for Nordic Region / Benelux (based in Sweden)

Position Summary

The qualified candidate will provide sales consulting services to Nordic and Benelux distributors, partners and customers to enable them to sell, deploy and support Intershop solutions. Services can include system engineering tasks, technical product expert presentations, technical training, trouble shooting and technical account management.

The candidate will be based in Sweden.

Responsibilities Include

  • Interface with various customers and partners at the technical level and propose viable solutions
  • Performance of systems engineering activities in pre-sales phases
  • Support partners on a technical level , both in sales process and during implementation project
  • Communicate and present our technology towards partners and customers, by building customized demos and presentations
  • Building technical credibility in customer interactions and drive the technical side of the sales process
  • Drive knowledge transfer with partners and customers
  • Plan and participate in customer calls and events as necessary to promote sales and technical deployments
  • Work together with the Accounting Managers in the Nordics / Benelux


Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a professional, preferably international IT environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience in systems engineering and/or sales consulting in software environment
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, JAVA and HTML
  • Excellent organizational, customer service and communication (written and oral) skills in English.
  • Knowledge of back office (databases, management tools) and front office (workstations, software distribution) technologies.


Desired Skills

  • Ability to understand customer requirements and to effectively communicate those issues internally to provide effective options to the customer
  • Intershop experience is preferred
  • Experience with XML, XSL, SUSE Linux, Apache and Oracle 10g is considered a plus

  • Self starter and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate professionally with customers
  • Ability to work in a small team
